Applying an Artistic Effect

I changed the method a little bit. Instead of desaturating, I adjusted the levels manually until I found something I liked. I didn't want a black and white photo. I did the rest of the steps as it listed. I also cropped the images beforehand to remove quite a bit of black space around the area of interest.
